Library Educational Services Goals

In 2015-16 University Library Educational Services went through strategic planning to identify goals for the unit. Those goals were revised in 2020 and are as follows:

  • Assessment informs our actions.
  • Faculty collaborate with us and utilize our expertise.
  • Information Literacy is understood and valued across campus.
  • Librarians collaborate with each other (all UL staff).
  • Our program is student focused.
  • Resources are open and follow pedagogical best practices.
  • We have a comprehensive, sustainable instruction program.
  • We promote equity, diversity, and inclusion.

To assess these goals, University Library Educational Services developed an assessment plan which is reviewed annually.

Assessment of student-facing goals and student learning are reported annually via the University Library Program Review & Assessment Committee (PRAC) Report.
