Ed Services Listserv

There is a listserv for librarians with subject liaison responsibilities. Please use it however it works best for you, including asking colleagues for assignment or class suggestions/thoughts.

New Semester Checklist

Outreach emails

  • Welcome back library resource email to department faculty (Fall only)
    • Update email to faculty in departments (if necessary in Spring)
  • E-mail faculty I have historically taught classes for and inquire if they want to schedule a session asking for dates and changes in curriculum.
  • Reach out to new faculty

Calendar & Consultations

  • Determine projects & goals I want to work on during term.
  • Review Outlook calendar against current projects and goals. Block out time as necessary for project / goal management.
  • Update LibCal with availability for research consultations.

Libguides

  • Map subject and course guides to current terms courses.
  • Mark course LibGuides that aren’t in session private.
  • Publish publicly course guides for currently in session.
  • Review LibGuides for dead links.

Instruction

  • Review worksheets and other materials used in current terms courses and update database titles as appropriate.
