- A Scholar studies something, writes about it, and submits it to a journal for publication.
- Journal editor receives the article and sends it to other scholars for peer-review.
- Peer-reviewers read the article and provide feedback to the editor.
- The editor either accepts, accepts with edits, or rejects the article.
- Author revises the article based on peer-review feedback & submits.
- If it is accepted, the article is published in a peer-reviewed journals.
What do peer-reviewers do?
- Ensure there are no errors.
- Evaluate the quality of the research in the article.
- Check for unsupported claims.
