Annie E. Casey Foundation- KIDS COUNT
KIDS COUNT is a national and state-by-state project of the Casey Foundation to track the status of children in the United States.

A policy institute or think tank conducts research and engages in advocacy around a particular issue, from a stated viewpoint. This is a selected list of policy institutes and think tanks that deal with education issues. There are many policy institutes that focus on sub-issues within education.

Brookings Institution
Brookings experts have examined a number of issues including assessment and standardized testing, teacher quality, preschool and the connection between education and competitiveness.
CATO Institute
Cato's education research is founded on the principle that parents are best suited to make important decisions regarding the care and education of their children.
Education Advisory Board

IUPUI has obtained a 3-year subscription to the Education Advisory Board’s ‘Academic Affairs Forum’ – the resources are phenomenal. Anyone with an IUPUI email address can click on ‘Member Login’ and then click 'New User' to create an account to access the Academic Affairs library of research briefs/reports. It may be particularly helpful to those of you who are heavily engaged in strategic planning related to student success.
