How Do I Choose a Database?

Choosing from all the databases available at IU Indianapolis University Library can be daunting. Here are a few quick tips:

  • Not sure where to start? Try
    • Academic Search

      (covers many different topics, includes scholarly and news articles)

    • ProQuest Central

      (covers many different topics, includes scholarly and news articles)

  • Use Subject Guides to explore and find databases with articles relevant to your research
    • Hint: Look for phrases like “Most Popular”, “Frequently Used Databases”, or “Useful Resources.”
