Databases listed just below can help you explore and focus your topic and potential solutions.
Find concise, practical trade journal articles and readable magazine articles using ProQuest Central. Find readable, especially credible professional society "magazine" articles giving overviews of computing topics and IT applied to many STEM topics by searching IEEE and limiting to magazine articles. Other resources such as news, business, or ebook collections can help provide context or additional detail on a topic.
CORE Databases
Once your topic becomes clear, more specialized, in-depth "core" databases to research an industry, or consider perspectives from human relations-, business-, government-, or education-related sources, can help you find peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers (proceedings). Try searching two or three core article databases resources, testing several search strategies. Input on search strategies, such as how to browse subject terms, is available any time the library is open from the 2nd level Information Desk staff or at 317-274-0469.

To search for e-content such as accessible ebooks from across the campus ebook platforms: after doing an search, select "Online Only" and at left, limit results to Campus = Indianapolis.

In addition to browsing the Sort by relevance default, it can be a good idea to try changing to Sort by Year (new to old) and browse results for recently published items.

If you are affiliated with IU Indianapolis, you will be able to access almost all of the library's electronic resources (databases) on campus or remotely, from home or other location. Library resources are "IP-filtered". The simplest method for access is to use a library site coded link to the resource, which can bring up an IU login popup window to authenticate. Other methods include using the IU Indy campus computer network, setting up an EZProxy bookmarklet or connecting via IUanyWare. See "Off-Campus Access to Resources (EZ Proxy)". Note that for Skillport IT- and Business-related ebooks, using a library site link is required on or off the campus network.
