It asks a questions about your data, and filters the available IU storage options for where your data can be stored based on your answers. Please note that this tool is not designed to point toward solutions for sharing the data needed to validate your findings and satisfy funder requirements.

The IU Data Sharing and Handling tool is designed to centralize storage options for all kinds of IU data. It can be used to make research data storage decisions given qualifiers. It includes details about data storage platform parameters, best practices for handling your research data, and links to relevant IU policies. IUSM has a variety of storage platforms available for research data.  The amount of data, the approximate length of time the data needs to be stored, access needs, and data security needs (as defined by the funder and/or IU's data classification level) are factors in determining the best storage option for your data.
