Library-Subscribed Anatomy Resources

Anatomy.TV
Multi-layer graphics of the human body. Includes animated graphical simulations of common muscle movements, information for patients with explanatory text. Movies/animations can be played using Windows Media player, QuickTime, or RealPlayer.

AccessMedicine Human Anatomy Modules
These interactive modules allow for visualization of the human body in an interactive, 3D format where both male and female anatomy modules can be viewed. Choose a module and then utilize the options on the left-side of the screen to learn more about human anatomy.
Merck Manuals [Professional Version] - 3D Models
Interactive 3D models of various disorders and anatomy.

SketchFab

SketchFab is an online platform for hosting and sharing 3D models. Models may be annotated, color-coded, and have voiceovers or audio to serve as teaching tools. Here's a listing of a few institutional SketchFab accounts that have anatomical models available for teaching and learning.

Molecular Visualization Programs

ChimeraX
Molecular visualization program that can be freely-downloaded for academic, government, non-profit, or personal use. Files from the Protein Data Bank may be viewed and exported as .stl files for 3D printing.
RCSB Protein Data Bank
RCSB PDB was established as the 1st open access digital data resource in all of biology and medicine. Through an internet information portal and downloadable data archive, the PDB provides access to 3D structure data for large biological molecules (proteins, DNA, and RNA).
