The American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Inc.,® was established in 1986 to improve the quality of medical and surgical treatment available to the public by examining for professional expertise in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
In 1924, the American Board of Otolaryngology was established to certify head and neck surgeons through a process that includes residency training, certification exams, and, since 2002, the Maintenance of Certification process. The ABOto’s fiduciary responsibility is to the public. Although the ABOto carefully considers the concerns of and impact on our diplomates, it is what is in the public’s best interest that guides the ABOto’s decision-making process.
The Mission of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ASPO) is to foster excellence in the care of children with otorhinolaryngologic (ORL) disorders by promoting education and collaborative research, and to share and disseminate advances and innovations in patient care through the Annual Meeting and other venues.
The aims of the Association shall be encouragement and promotion of research, both basic and clinical, in the broad field of Otolaryngology and related areas; to foster friendly assembly and stimulate scientific interest among its members; to this end, the Association shall hold scientific meetings at regular intervals and engage in such activities as the membership deems appropriate to achieve these objectives.
AADO – HNS promotes the common interests of departments of otolaryngology through publications, research, and discussions of mutual interest and concern.
