Using Academic Video Online instructors can easily embed videos in Canvas course modules. Videos can be embedded in modules, assignments, and as plug-in the Rich Content Editor.
To embed a video as a module, in the Course Navigation, click the Modules link. Click the Add Item button. In the Add [Item Type] To: drop-down menu, select the External Tool option.

Locate and select Alexander Street Video. Clicking on Alexander Street Video or select the search icon will both prompt a search of the Academic Video Online collections.

Search for the film of your choice. Select Return link.

The film's embed URL and title will be loaded into Canvas. Select Add Item to add the film to the module.

When selected, the film will play within Canvas.
More information on embedding tools into Canvas is available in the Knowledge Base.
