Citation Mining

A great way to grow your article count quickly is to use a technique called "citation mining." To start out, find an article that fits your research really well (which you'll know by reading it!), then go down to the citations. The citation list will have the titles of every article that the auhtor used when writing their article, which means that those citations will also be a good choice for your paper!

When you have a citation that you want to use, look up the title in our Article Search or Google Scholar. If we don't have access to it, try Interlibrary Loan.

Mind Mapping

Mind Mapping is a technique that you can use to get a leg up on your research. It involves starting with your core concept and expanding outwards, trying to think of as many synonyms or connected concepts as you possibly can. See that video below as an example.
