I'm An Online Student I And Need Library Materials

If you are an IU Indianapolis student in 100% online courses, you can request articles via Interlibrary Loan from anywhere. Delivery of most journal articles can be done over the web with e-mail notification of arrival.

You can always access articles via our databases.

At the current time, University Library does not have a system for direct delivery of print books to patrons. Therefore, as an online student, you should request loans of books from your local public library if you are unable to pick up materials at University Library or Herron Art Library.

You can search IUCAT for ebooks available at Indianapolis. As an IU Indianapolis student, ebooks are available to you anywhere in the world. To search for ebooks, in IUCAT:

  1. search for your topic or a book title,
  2. once your results come up, in the left-hand column, under "format" limit to ebooks and under "campus" limit to Indianapolis.

If you need help, check out our page for off-campus students, contact a librarian, or contact us via chat, phone, etc.

NOTE: If you are taking online classes at IU Indianapolis but your home campus is different, you can request access to library materials at the campus of instruction (e.g., IU Indianapolis) via this form: Educational Access to Electronic Resources.
