Communication Studies Research Guide

A guide to resources for Communication Studies students at Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis

Who Should Use This Guide?

Welcome to the Communication Studies subject guide.  This LibGuide is intended to support the coursework and research needs of students enrolled in both undergraduate and graduate education programs  at IUPUI, and to support the research and instructional needs of faculty who work with them.  Sources used in this guide can either be found within the physical University Library or can be electronically accessed.

Communication Studies as a discipline originated with public speaking. Many subgroups have enhanced the field as it develops. There are theoretical and practical approaches to the subject matter: studying how communication is made and learning how to communicate through speech, body language, and technology.
