There are four places where you can look for books on biology topics: IUPUC's online library catalog (IUCAT), WorldCat, Google Books, and interlibrary loan (ILL). Each offers a different scope and each provides a different way of accessing books.
IUPUC's online library catalog provides comprehensive access to millions of items held by the IU Libraries statewide, including books, recordings, US government publications, periodicals, and other types of material.
Google Books
Google Books is a search engine that lists many books available at different libraries throughout the United States. Google Books provides limited previews and full-text searches of some books, as well as a search field to check availability of a book at libraries near you.
WorldCat
IU doesn't have every book. If you are not finding what you need in IUCAT, then search WorldCat, which contains books from libraries all over the country. If you find a good book, you can request it via InterLibrary Loan.
If you cannot locate a copy of material that you need in our library, we will get a copy for you from another library. Your request will arrive between three and ten days.
